Video Games Live: Greatest Hits Volume One

Cabalgando la ola del éxito del extravagante espectáculo de música clásica Video Games Live, EMI Classics ha reunido sus fuerzas con las de los creadores del show (las fechas de los conciertos en España son aún por confirmar) para  producir un nuevo concepto de álbum compuesto por las mejores bandas sonoras de videojuegos como TetrisÒ, HaloÒ y World of Warcraft.

 

El disco ha sido lanzado el pasado mes de octubre y ya está disponible para descarga en itunes. Mientras tanto se ha metido entre los mejores 10 discos de la Classical Crossover Chart de los Estados Unidos, donde se ha adelantado en ventas a artistas de casa como  Katherine Jenkins y a clásicos del legendario Pavarotti.

‘Video Games Live: Greatest Hits Volume One’ incluye las bandas sonoras de algunos de los más grandes títulos de videojuegos jamás producidos, entre los cuales HaloÒ, World of WarcraftÒ, Kingdom HeartsÒ and MystÒ, solo para nombrar algunos.

Grabado y mezclado en los famosos estudios de grabación de Abbey Road en Londres, los compositores de bandas sonoras para videojuegos e padres de Video Games Live, Tommy Talarico y Jack Wall, han hecho participe del proyecto

el celebrado talento de la Slovak National Orchestra, mejor conocido como el “pianista de los videojuegos” – Martin Leung.

La directora de Marketing de la EMI Classics, Elizabeth Chew, dice de Video Games Live – Greatest Hits Volume 1:”Este álbum demuestra la creciente importancia de la música al interno del mundo de los videojuegos y ha creado una fuerte enlace entre los amantes de los videojuegos y los apasionados de música en general”.

The London Games Festival is a cultural and business celebration of computer and video games, reflecting their influence and importance in today’s society!  The Festival, taking place from 25th October – 2nd November 2008, will feature a series of diverse events in different venues for different audiences. Whether you are a gamer, a parent seeking advice on games, a school-leaver hoping to work in the industry, or someone just wanting to find out more about how games work and where the future of entertainment will take us, this is a festival for you.

Part of the LGF includes a thriving Fringe festival of grassroots events organised by artists, academics, gaming enthusiasts, educators and a wide range of creative professionals.

The LGF is created by the London Development Agency (LDA) and with the full support of the industry and its trade bodies ELSPA and Tiga, the festival provides an exciting array of consumer and trade events in the capital.
